The second last episode of the Skull Man starts off with Ootomo city celebrating Christmas Eve, with the military turning on the police. I thought that the twist from last episode of Hayato now being the Skull Man instead of Yoshio was interesting, and Yoshio dying in this episode.

I thought it was interesting to watch some characters reactions in this episode when Haniwa got screwed by the President of the Gagou Poject, as Haniwa was the fall person in this situation. Despite the darkness that occurs in this episode, I thought it was interesting that this episode featured a short flashback of Yoshio before he was a priest, and how he founded the orphanage/church that he worked at.

I thought the truth about the monsters and the Byakureikai organization in this series was an interesting twist to the story, though thought it was cool of Shinjou to take care of Kiriko and the orphans from the church during the madness in this episode. I thought the way the episode ended with the Skull Man entering the headquarters of the Byakureikai organization was an evil cliffhanger to the conclusion of the Skull Man series.

Overall, I thought that this episode was pretty as it provide more detail into the characters of the cast of the Skull Man, while adding background information to the Skull Man’s past, and goal in this series.
