07 Ghost - Episode Four

This episode of 07 Ghost is rather interesting, as Tieto meets the old from the previous episode and well things get interesting when Kor tries to devour Tieto’s soul, and Castor, Labador and Frau show up to stop him. This episode reveals that Frau has the ability to produce a scythe, Castor has strings as weapons, and Labador’s choice of weapon is flowers. After the bishops defeat the Kor, Frau removes the Kor mark that is on Tieto’s chest.

The following day there is some more Tieto and Frau antics, as Frau teases Tieto about his underpants. As Frau’s antics with Tieto have caused Tieto to land in the deep end of the fountain, and Teito encounters Lazet.

Lazet IMO is even more adorable and cute then compared the sisters in District 7, as Lazet is the organist of the church, and is she is part mermaid like. After Tieto meets Lazet, Castor informs Tieto about Kor, and how a person slowly decays, after granting three wishes granted by a Kor.

After this episode focuses on Tieto, the episode returns to Mikage and Ayanami, where Mikage chooses Teito over his sister, and then Ayanami casts a Zaiphon on him. Overall, this episode was interesting, as it gave a more insight in the world of 07 Ghost, while also introducing some more characters, and giving more insight into the characters that have been introduced so far.

Gundam 00 - Episode Fourty Five

As this episode of Gundam 00 is named Anew Turner, I dislike it when an episode is named after a character, as the viewer is able to guess that episode is about that character, or that that character may die in that episode.

As the previous episode of Gundam 00 features Anew taking Mileina hostage, I liked how Lyle and Setsuna rescued Milenina, thus forcing Anew to let Milenia go. I thought it was smart of Revive to escape in the 0-Riser, while Anew is making her escape in small ship. While Anew and Revive make their escape, Ribbons gives Louise a new Regnant, while also Ribbons wanting Louise to be the first human innovator to guide the world.

The main battle in this episode centers around Anew vs. Lyle in mobile suit combat with Seravee, Arios and Cherudim dealing with the innovators in their mobile suits. I thought that the Lyle vs. Anew combat scenes were practically good, as the battle between them was intense, and filled with emotions of Lyle not wanting to let Anew go. Despite Lyle’s efforts to stop Anew Turner from attacking him, Setsuna makes the hard decision, and shots down Anew.

Overall, I thought that this episode was good, and developed the Lyle X Anew relationship a lot better then I expected, though Setsuna was forced to make a though decision in the heat of battle.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Episode Four

This episode deals with the Shou Tucker arc, which is combined into one episode. My thoughts regarding this episode, is that I thought that this episode correctly depicted Nina as adorable and cute, while also making Alexander the winner against Edward.

As this episode introducers Scar into the series, I thought that the battle between himself and Basque Gran, the “Iron Blood Alchemist” was short and sweet, though IMO this episode doesn’t make Scar as menacing and fearful as I would of thought.

I thought that this episode did a good job of making Edward understand just what life is like of being a State Alchemists and possible be like in the future, as that there is a grey area between making advancements in their area of their own specialization, and what is morale okay or not based on one’s beliefs and ideals.
