Macross Frontier - Episode Nine

If you enjoy the relationship of Max and Millia from the original Macross series, then you’re in for a treat, as this episode deals with Michel’s past, and his relationship with Klan.

Michel’s past is nasty, as it deals with his sister (Jessica) suicide, and the pain that he lives with. After viewing this episode I think that Michel and Klan make a good couple, as there’s chemistry between them. Hopefully in one episode of Macross Frontier that Klan’s micloned problems will be resolved, so that they can at least they can go on a proper date in the future.

Death Note on ABC 2

If you a fan of Death Note (like myself) or are an anime or manga fan and live in Australia, then you will be happy to learn that Death Note is airing currently on ABC 2 at 9:30pm, on Monday nights. I assume it’s the English dubbed version, though if it’s the original Japanese version with subtitles, then it would be even better IMO. Please don’t check out my episode reviews of the Death Note TV series, if you don’t want to be spoiled about the shows contents.

Below is a picture of the Japanese TV promo, when Death Note aired in Japan with the promo being subbed.

Macross Frontier - Episode Eight

This episode of Macross Frontier has Ranka and Shirley joining Mihoshi Academy, and if you mix a Macross shower scene, the panty thief elements from Mai-Hime episode 4, and how Asuka was introduced in Evengelion, then you get the cake of this episode.

I wouldn’t say this episode was good or bad, but it’s a good filler episode, after the intense action and bliss of the previous Macross Frontier episode.

Macross Frontier - Episode Seven

This episode of Macross Frontier is what a episode one of the series is all about, like action, eye candy, Itano circus, music and a ship transformation. If you’re a fan boy or girl and love what made Macross Macross, then this is a must watch episode.

Macross Frontier - Episode Six

This episode of Macross Frontier is more of a set up episode, and it develops the relationship between Alto and Shirley more. As Macross is based on love triangles, it really is hard to see who Alto will up with at the end of this Macross series.

This episode of Macross Frontier also develops Ozma and Kathy’s relationship a little. I’m hoping that Ozma doesn’t end up having the same fate as Roy Focker from the original Macross series, as it would be a tragedy. Also I hope that Luca doesn’t also share the same fate as Kakizaki from the previous Macross series, as it would be again another tragedy.

Code Geass:Hangyaku no Lelouch - Episode Thirty Five

As the previous episode of Code Geass entered a new stage with the Chinese Federation, this episode continues with Empress Tianzi escape to the outside world, and the introduction of Xing-ke knightmare unit, Frame Shen Hu.

I thought that the strategic battle that occurs in this episode was very good, as the tables turned a lot in this episode, from a plot point of view.

Code Geass:Hangyaku no Lelouch - Episode Thirty Four

This episode of Code Geass if full of win, as there’s lots of character development among, as this episode of Code Geass, enters a new stage, with the Chinese Federation being involved in the politics of the Code Geass world.

If you’re a fan of chess, then you will be happy to see Lelouch take on his older brother Schneizel, in a game of chess. I thought the game of chess between the two was interesting, though while this was occurring, I wonder if Lelouch will destroy/crush Rolo in future episodes of Code Geass, as Lelouch failed to capitalize on a missed opportunity in the chess match.

If you’re a fan of the pairing Kallen X Lelouch, then you will enjoy a scene early on in this episode. As this episode is mainly about the Chinese Federation, we get to see the character development that Xing-ke goes through in this episode, with his relationship with Empress Tianzi.

I thought how this episode ended with Zero gaining the upper hand in the marriage ceremony was a good plot twist, and that it was also good to see V.V and Orange appear at the end of this episode.

Overall, I thought that this episode was good, as it emphasized character development and plot, over action.

I really sorry about not posting much this month as I previously have, as real life has caught up with me. I will make an effort to catch up on all the anime that I can after the 20th of this month.

Code Geass:Hangyaku no Lelouch - Episode Thirty Three

It’s very rare for me to get a good laugh from an episode of Code Geass, as the script writers from this episode have watched to match Vendetta IMO. Besides the Vendetta references in this episode, I was a little surprised that this episode contained a fair bit of fan-service.

I also thought that this episode was good, as it was good to see Nina and some other side characters starting to make their presence felt in this episode.

Vampire Knight - Episode Four

This episode of Vampire Knight is a interesting episode, as we get a look into Idou’s personality. This episode also develops the relationship that Yuuki has with Kaname, as Yuki blushes when in Kaname’s presence in this episode.

I thought it was brave that this episode included the scene where Zero tries to shoot himself with his gun (even though it was empty), as the theme could be a touchy.

From an animation point of view, I thought that this episode was well animated then normal, as it seems the scenes in this episode looked more detailed than usual.

Overall, I thought that this episode showed how tragic Zero’s character is, though it will be interesting to see if Yuuki can save Zero or not, and where Kaname will sit in future episodes.
