Anime & Persona - Trinity Soul - 24 Apr 2008 08:21 pm

Persona - Trinity Soul - Episode Fifthteen

As the previous episode of Persona – Trinity Soul – had Ryou appearing at the end of the previous episode, this episode features a character Sanada Akihiko appearing at Shin’s home, and acting like a mentor/guide to him. Sanada seems to be a very interesting character, and seems that he will add an interesting dynamic to the future plot of this show.

I thought that the scene Megami and Takuro are taking to each other late at night was interesting, as it was good to see how Megami and Tajuro act in different situations, and see a different perspective of them. I thought that the scene where the camera panned up to Megami, playing with a towel was alluring and innocent also.

It was good to hear from Sanada a little more about persona’s and how they appeared, from Sanada and Kanzato being a part of a certain group. As this episode revealed why Ryou has been talking those tablets in the episodes gone by, as it a drug that allows him to summon his persona, which can extend his usage of his persona.

This episode of persona IMO seemed that the animation quality seem to be higher than usual, due to the no action scenes occurring in this episode. As this episode moved the plot of this show more, it starting to feel like momentum is starting to built now, to the conclusion of this series.

Persona - Trinity Soul - Episode Fourteen

This episode of Persona was interesting to watch, as the ending of this episode made watching this episode worth it. This episode of Persona – Trinity Soul – also features a new opening and closing, and my opinion of them is that I like the new opening theme more than the previous one, but I like the first ending theme more then this new closing theme.

As a new opening and closing theme generally marks changes occuring in that particular anime series, I have found so far that this series has a good air of atmosphere to it, but I have found the story of the show a little slow in terms of pacing IMO so far.

Anime & La Corda D'Oro ~primo passo~ 19 Apr 2008 03:28 am

La Corda D’Oro ~primo passo~ - Episode Twenty

This episode of La Corda d’oro deals with the concours group (minus Hino) of the news that Yunoki from the final selection to study in England, and that Hino has given up the violin. As Shimizu is characterized as cute, kind person, I thought that the scene where he played his cello in front of Hino. As Hino is dealing with her feelings and troubles in this episode, I liked the scenes of where each male concours think about their feelings about their various issue, because it’s something everyone can relate to.

I thought that ending of this episode was nicely handled, especially how Lilli explains that Corda is the Italian name for strings, and how it relates to this series, and title.

Code Geass:Hangyaku no Lelouch - Episode Twenty Seven

This episode of Code Geass fills in the gap of how Lelouch became a normal high school student, with no memories of his past from the previous season. As this episode reveals that Lulu’s father also possesses the geass power in both eyes, I’m betting that V.V gave the emperor his geass powers.

As the this season of Code Geass involves new characters, and potential some relationships from the previous season being developed more in this series, I’m looking forward to see the truth about what really happened to Lulu’s mother, and what’s currently happening with Nunally.

Persona - Trinity Soul - Episode Thirteen

As characters die in anime series, this episode marks the first situation where one of the main leads dying, and the next episode should develop how the other characters cope with this situation.

As Eriko gets caught up the crossfire between Ryou and Komatsubara, I would have liked to see how Eriko’s and Ryou’s relationship would have developed if the pair lived.

Persona - Trinity Soul - Episode Twelve

This episode of Persona finally reveals the main characters, which make up the Marebite group. It was interesting to learn about how Kujou Mareya is linked to Jun. As Koujou wants as acquire other people’s persona’s for his own benefit, it will be interesting to see the other Persona’s that other characters possess, that we haven’t seen yet.

Persona - Trinity Soul - Episode Eleven

As the first impression I got from Kanaru, is that she is the typical cute, kind character, I found it interesting that it revealed that Kanaru is a shadow stripping addict, and that her addiction to shadow stripping, shows its colours in her school life.

As this episode showed another side of Kanaru, and that the previous episode showed another side of Ryou, I guess the lesson I have learned from these previous two episodes is that, the characters of this show aren’t was stereotypical, as I first thought.

Code Geass:Hangyaku no Lelouch - Episode Twenty Six

This episode of Code Geass marks the return of the much hyped second series of Code Geass. As there is an opening and closing theme accompanying this episode, I thought that the ending theme is a nice tribute to Clamp, while I thought that the opening theme isn’t as good as the previous themes from the first season.

As I didn’t find the first episode of Code Geass all two thrilling, I thought that this first episode got the plot elements right, to deliver a first episode that shows there’s more going then first suspected.

As this episode left many questions unanswered, hopefully we will get the answers to these questions, as this second season goes on.

Vampire Knight - Episode One

As I’m a big fan of this manga, I was very happy to hear a while back, that this manga series would be getting the animation treatment, so I was very keen to see how this series got converted. As this episode features an opening and closing theme, I thought that the opening theme is very good, while the ending theme I found to be a mix of cuteness and creepyness.

This first episode of Vampire Knight, pretty much follows the first chapter of the manga. As IMO that the manga of Vampire Knight as an air of atmosphere to this title, I found that this first episode tend to focus a little more on humour, they the air of atmosphere that’s occuring in the background.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to see how this series will play out by series end, as the manga is still currently running in LaLa.

Anime & Hatenkou Yuugi 11 Apr 2008 02:30 am

Hatenkou Yuugi - Episode Ten

This episode of Hatenkou Yuugi wraps this series, and deals with Rahzel’s past, present and future. In this episode we get to learn many things about Rahzel, such as her real name (Lazensha Rose), how her mother died, and how Baroqueheat is related to Rahzel’s father.

I’m quite not sure how the mysterious magic user person that killed Fabien Rose at the end of this episode, is related to this story, but if a second season of this show was made, I would be very interested to see Rahzel overcome these trails placed in front of her.

Overall, I enjoyed this series very much, despite this series having a not so great variety of colours used in this show. I found the character personalities and humour in this series very refreshing, as the three main leads interacted in a non-stereotypical fashion, they compared to the standard stock personalities, that is common in most anime series.
