Hatenkou Yuugi - Episode Nine

As this episode concludes the storyline involving Solesta and Richard, I thought that Rahzel looked quite pretty in this episode, with her new hairstyle and clothing in this episode. As Rahzel’s past hasn’t been discussed at length in this episode, I thought it was quite good to Rahzel interact with her father, when she was young.

I thought it was good to see that Solesta is a magic user like Rahzel, and that we got to see what is special ability is. As Baroqueheat betrayed Rahzel in this episode, I was shocked by Baroqueheat’s betrayal, but when pushed came to shove, it was good to see Baroqueheat’s true colors.

As this episode played out I was sorry for Solesta in this episode, as Rahzel took Solesta’s place being a comrade with Baroqueheat and Alzied. I thought that the scene where Alzied and Rahzel where in the rain, was simply beautiful. As the first episode of this series started of with Rahzel starting on her journey, this episode ended on a cliffhanger, as Rahzel’s father appeared in front of Rahzel and Alzied.

Hatenkou Yuugi - Episode Eight

This episode of Hatenkou Yugi is a two parter story, and the first installment of this storyline has lots of interesting elements, such as Baroqueheat kissing Rahzel, Alzied teasing to kiss Rahzel, seeing Alzied dressed in drag, and Rahzel making a promise not to use magic.

The new characters in this storyline is Solesta, an orange haired person that knows Baroqueheat and Alzied, as they were in the same military unit. The other new character in this episode is Richard, a son of a rich noble family. It’s pretty obvious from this episode that Solesta is a sly individual, and the show down between him and Alzied should be interesting.

Rose of Versailles - Episode Thirty Five

After the events of the previous episode, this episode sees the previous episode climatic cliffhanger resolved, my Oscar telling Gerodere if that he has the guts to fire at her. As Count Jarjeyes (Oscar’s father) hasn’t interacted with Oscar in the previous episodes, it was interesting to see Oscar’s father reaction to Oscar going against General Bouille orders.

It was good to see Andre’s reaction to Oscar’s father reaction to Oscar’s traitor’s act, as it was good to see Andre’s love for Oscar, yet getting any real response from Oscar. After the little scuffle between Count Jarjeyes and Andre, news comes that there will no punishment to Oscar or the Jarjeyes family, from the royal family.

The second half of this episode was really interesting with the viewer seeing Oscar in some sort of disguise talking to Bernard to surround Abbey prison, to help free her company from being executed. While this is occurring, Monsieur Saint-Just uses this opportunity to kill Oscar, to make the crowd march to Versailles palace, instead of Abbey prison.

By the episodes conclusion, it was good to Marine Antoinette stand on her to feet, and tell her husband and other board members off, about releasing the twelve officers, will stop the potential riot, and if that occurs will put Paris into a sea of chaos.

Darker Than Black - Episode Twenty Six

As episode twenty five of Darker then Black ended the series well IMO, this extra episode of Darker Then Black follows the aftermath of the previous episode, and this episode is more humour based.

The humor in this episode takes on many forms, such as a female cat chasing after Moa throughout this episode, and the topic of pollen being discussed in this episode.

This episode follows Mayu Ootsuka, a member of the 4th Foreign Affairs Department, and she’s into anime, doujin’s and manga. As Mayu’s hobby is writing stories, she’s trying to write a story, where the hero of the story wears a mask. This episode deals with a contractor stealing some object from the gate, and an episode for the anime called The Rose of Maurice, holds the key to this stolen object.

If you are looking for an episode of Darker Then Black that is similar in mood/tone to the previous twenty five episodes of this series, then you will not really enjoy this episode. If you are looking for an episode that is light, and have some time to spare, then this episode will satisfy you.

Persona -Trinity Soul - Episode Seven

This episode starts of an interesting note with Kanaru happy to hear that Jun has decide to join Shin, Megumi, Yumi and Takuro going to the hot springs for the weekend. As some of the background music of this series has been quite good, I thought that the song that played while the six high scholars where in the jeep, sounded quite good. While the high schools play, things get interesting as Eiko is looking at the database about what happened about the incident at Fuji beach, ten years ago.

The trip to the hot springs isn’t all play as Megumi and Yumi develop their relationship, and while Yumi is standing on the viewing area on a light house, a mysterious red hair appears in this episode. This new red haired girl seems to be able to move around easily, by turning into a feather.

As I was viewing this episode, I thought that this episode would be an uneventful one, with not much happening in it, but it was good to see some character relationship development among the cast, while adding some intrigue into this episode.

Gundam 00 - Episode Twenty Four

After watching this episode, it sort of reminds me of episode forty nine of Gundam Seed, where the kill the all principle applies to various characters. I was sort of disappointed that Tieria got killed of in this episode, and I have been curious why he can interact with Veda. As Neena Trinity seems to have a better ability to interact with Veda, it would seem possible that Neena will replace Tieria in his role.

I guess from viewing this episode, that Corner now could be called now the man with the golden accessories, as he pilots a golden mobile armor in this episode. I for one would like to know how Corner acquired this mobile armor. I liked how this episode the same insert song that when Lousie and Saji split up, in the series.

I found the deaths of the various characters in this episode was a little less emotional than Lockon’s death, as the series has slowly built up his character, while there was little character development to the characters that died in this episode.

As the next episode of Gundam 00 will wrap the first half of this series, I for one will be very interested if a cliffhanger ending is in stores or not.

La Corda D’Oro ~primo passo~ - Episode Eightteen

After Hino breaks her violin strings from the previous episode, the judges and announcer quickly decided to move the third selection along, as Yunoki is quickly called to play his piece. The results from the third selection can be seen below:

1.Yunoki Azuma
2.Tsukimori Len
3.Tsuchiura Ryoutarou
4.Fuyuumi Shouko
5.Shimizu Keiichi
6.Hihara Kazuki
7.Hino Kahoko
As Hino as been feeling gloomy over the previous couple of episodes, it was quite interesting from Lilli to say that the magic violin reflects her feelings in her heart. As Yunoki has had an episode dealing with his finance problems, it was interesting to see Yunoki as a child playing the piano well, but told by his mother to take up another musical instrument, to support their family, when it’s Yunoki’s turn to support his family.

I for one would have liked to see Yuniko interact with his elder brothers, but this episode doesn’t head off in this direction. As Yuniko’s life has been ruled by his Obaasama, his Obaasama decides to send Yuniko off to university somewhere in England, to continue Yuniko’s education. To ease Yuniko’s transition to university in England, his Obaasama has already enrolled Yuniko into a high school for a semester.

After this episode deals with Yuniko’s domestic problem’s, I like how this episode deals with the realistic little problems that the some of the other performers have with being involved in the concours.

La Corda D’Oro ~primo passo~ - Episode Seventeen

This episode of La Corda d’Oro ~Primo Passo~ avoiding Tsukimori for a week, due to the previous encounter in the previous episode. If you’re a Hino X Shimizu fan then you will enjoy the scene of Shimizu taking one of his naps on Hino’s lap. As Tsukimori and
Tsuchiura haven’t eye on to in this series, I thought that the scene where Tsuchiura is concerned about Hino’s gloomy mood, revealed that Tsukimori and Tsuchiura are concerned about Hino.

As the buildup for the third selection has been a bit long IMO, the second half of this episode finally reveals the characters performances. First up is Hihara performing a Schubert composition, called “Serenade”. Shimizu is the second performer, and is performing a Faure composition, called “Sicilienne”. Up third is Fuyuumi. Fourth up is Tsukimori, and performs quite well. Fifth up is Tsuhiura. As Hino is the sixth performer for the third selection, her performance turns ugly as her violin strings breaks, as Hino tries to push the violin to its limits.

As Tsukimori, Hihara and Tsuhiura seem to have some feelings for Hino; I for one would like them to reveal these feelings instead of just covering it up, as it would be boring if this continued for the remainder of the series.

Overall I felt that this episode was rather average, as there was nothing really special or interesting, but hopefully the future episodes will be more interesting.

Gundam 00 - Episode Twenty Three

As the previous episode really moved the plot of series forward, this episode continues this trend, as there’s a lot happening in this episode. This episode reveals Gundam Dynames in action with GN arms, and Gundam Kyrios and Virture’s Trans-Am function. As Lockon as featured heavily in the past few episodes, unfortunately if you are Lockon fan, then you will be very sad by how this episode ends.

While starting this gundam series, I was pretty confident that all the gundam pilots would survive, but it was good to see the director taking a risk, and kill off one of the main characters. It will be interesting to see if Lockon gets replaced in the future by either of Neena Trinity, Saji, Lockon’s twin or another unnamed individual.
