Rose of Versailles - Episode Thirty Four
As the previous episode of Rose of Versailles was half politically based, and half concerning Prince Joseph Louis, it was interesting to learn that the Estats-Generaux movement has now merged some of the nobles and clergymen, to form a new party, called the National Assembly. As the Estats-Gerneraux movement has gained some momentum, Oscar has been order to seal up the doors to the Estats-Generaux. It was also interesting to learn that there’s some problem with Oscar’s body, as she coughs up blood, while patrolling in this episode.
The trouble in this episode occurs, when the only politicians aren’t allowed to enter the Estats-Generaux, and the people that are allowed to enter the assembly hall, are people on Colonel Choisielle la Baume list. As Oscar and her company is guarding the assembly hall, Oscar witness something odd happening, as Oscar sees that certain delegates are allowed in, so Oscar throws Colonel Choisielle la Baume over her shoulder, and allows all the delegates to enter the Estats-Generaux.
Oscar’s actions over Colonel Choisielle la Baume, lands her in hot water with General Bouille, as her company is asked to be dismissed from the current guarding duty. Twelve of Oscar’s men from her company get in trouble, as they refuse to do what General Bouille’s orders Oscar’s company to attack the deligates at the assembly hall.
As politically based episode IMO are hard to good, I felt this episode showcased that a good politically based episode can be down,

Rose of Versailles - Episode Thirty Three
This episode of Rose of Versailles starts of with the King of France being forced to implement a new tax, to solve the countries problem of debt. After the prelude of this episode, Andre learns that Bernard and Rosalie are married, soon after the black knight incident. After Andre learns that Rosalie and Bernard are married, Louis XVI decreed that the Estats-Generaux be convened on the first of May, in 1789.
Things turn sour in this episode, when Queen Marine Antoinette learns that her son Prince Louis Joseph has developed spinal meningitis. In this episode Queen Marine Antoinette tries to make her son’s time while alive as happy as possible, before his death in this episode. Despite the political elements of this episode surrounding the Estats-Generaux, Andre’s blindness in his right eye plays up in this episode, when Oscar throws a bottle to him, and fails to catch. It was good to see Alain come with a quick excuse, to cover Andre’s real problem with his eye.

Hatenkou Yuugi - Episode Six
This two part story involving Lalawel and Jean-Foup ended in a very interesting fashion.
I thought that the scene where Rahzel, Baroqueheat and Alzied have breakfast and play cards was a pretty interesting. I thought it was interesting that the game that they played was called Surname Trump cards, which Rahzel created. This game is played using surnames instead of numbers, and that instead of suits (like hearts and spades) there’s hand writing styles. This game is played like poker. There are also joker cards in there, which are foul cards. Anyway the sleeping Alzied joins Rahzel and Baroqueheat in the game, and wins. It was good to learn that Alzied was called the king of trumps.
It was interesting to learn that Lalawel isn’t Jean-Foup’s real child, but an abandoned child that Jean-Foup found, near the grave of his wife. Jean also admits to killing his wife, due to her carrying the baby of a lover. I thought it was pretty sick for Jean to chain up his wife’s dead body in that grave yard.
I thought Jean-Foup’s confession about the truth of the situation was very shocking, as Jean-Foup kills himself after telling the truth. After Lalawel is alone in the house, we learn that Lalawel is a killer of sorts like her adopted father, as she killed seven people for treating badly. Jean-Foup would help Lalawel with disposing of the dead bodies, of the people that she killed.
Despite Lalawel burning down Jean-Foup’s house with her in it, by episode’s end, I thought that this episode contained lots of grey areas of people doing bad things to other people, and trying to justify their actions. The next episode seems interesting to me, judging from the next episode preview, as the travelling trio get new outfits to wear, and that episode will be centred on a snow environment.

La Corda D’Oro ~primo passo~ - Episode Fifteen
As the previous episode of La Corda d’Oro ~Primo Passo~ focused on Yukino, this episode focuses on Tsuchiura and Hihara. The first half of this episode focused on Hino’s school life, with her interacting with her girl friends (Mori-san and Amou-san). I thought that the conversation that the trio has about what type of boy from Hino’s musical harem suits themselves. I thought that the scenes that the trio or duo think up, where interesting and funny.
The second half of this episode focuses on Hihara and Tsuchiura. Also the second half of this episode focuses a little on Tsuchiura’s ex-girlfriend, Sakimoto Mizue. I found Sakimoto Mizue to be quite mature person, despite her not currently being in a relationship with Tsuchiura, at the present moment.
If you’re a Hihara fan, we learn that Hihara has an elder brother (Haruki). Also if you’re a fan of the pairing Hihara X Hino, you’ll enjoy the the scene of Hino applying a band aid to Hihara. As the past couple of episodes have focused on the relationships of some of Hino’s harem, it looks like the next will bring things back on track, about the third selection.

Gundam 00 - Episode Twenty
My initials thoughts about this episode are that it was pretty decent, with lots happening. The winners in this episode would have to be Patrick getting a date with Kathy Monakin, though I hoping their relationship doesn’t turn sour like Saji X Louise. The HRL finally tasted some sort of victory against the Gundams (the trinity siblings); with their new G.N Drive units. Also Alejandro Corner seems to be a winner by the end of this episode, as he acquires Veda.
I was happy to see Graham wanting to stick with his custom Flag to beat the Gundams, instead of going with a G.N drive powered unit. I suppose in the episodes to come, that we will see the new G.N drive powered units, from the Union and AEU. My guess about mentally crushing Saji by killing Kinue, after the events of Louise losing her left hand was a thought, but I didn’t expect to it actually happening.
I thoughts about Wang Liu Mei switching Celestial Being side to the Trinity Sibling sides, is that it would explain her role in the opening scene, though I don’t really think Wang Mei is neutral as she claims, because I haven’t see any other agents for the Celestial Being. My thoughts about Neena Trinity wondering about the security of their base, is that security is a joke in this show.

Anime & Persona - Trinity Soul - 22 Feb 2008 10:48 pm
Persona -Trinity Soul - Episode Six
As this episode is entitled “The Day the Chief Disappeared”, I initially thought that the Chief may get kidnapped by the other Persona users that have been pursuing Shin, but this episode was more about the power of cuteness. I was a bit surprised that this episode was more light hearted in nature, as the previous episodes of Persona -Trinity Soul- have slowly been building the plot, and the background of the characters.
This episode of Persona has Megumi meeting Jun in this episode, as Jun considers moving into the school dorms, in this episode. With the idol Chi-korin not being viewed to do the police promotion of drink driving, Megumi and Kanaru volunteer to do idol Chi-korin promotion gig, and IMO they were so cute about how they did the gig.
The drink driving promotion has a dark element to this episode, as Jun seems to have some form as ESP, as he figured out that there was a kidnapping in progress (where Itou is dressed in a bear suit). After Hiragi’s sons are reunited with their father, I thought that the episode ended on a good note, with a small scene from Jun’s and Shin’s past that involved balloons.
I can understand why this series had an episode that doesn’t go with the trend of the previous episode, in terms of atmosphere, to give viewers some variety.

La Corda D’Oro ~primo passo~ - Episode Fourteen
As the last episode of La Corda d’Oro ~Primo Passo~ ended with Yunoki calling Hino by her first name, Hino is abducted by Yunoki to pretend to be his preferred candidate, to be his finance. Hino goes along with Yuniko’s plan to get Ayano to stop chasing him, so Yunoki get Hino to help him out, with Hino likes it or not. As Hino is on guard in this episode, there’s lot’s of blushing by Hino in this episode.
As this is a Yunoki Azuma centric episode, we get to learn something interesting things about Yuniko in this episode, while also meeting his younger sister (Miyabi). It’s good to see that Ayano isn’t the stereotypical perfect fiancé candidate, as despite her being the daughter of a company director, and being good looking, and also good at schooling, the weakness that Ayano possesses is that she is terribly good at getting the wrong impression of people.
This episode was also interesting, as it was good to see the various sides that Yunoki has. I thought that the episode ended quietly interestingly, with Tsuchiura’s ex-girl friend meeting Hino, Tsukimori and Tsuchiura. Tsuchiura’s ex-girl friend makes Hino blush, as she mentions if she is Tsuchiura’s current girl friend. After Hino denies this claim, she asks if she’s Tsukimori’s girl friend.

Gundam 00 - Episode Nineteen
I hate it when an episode that has some good emotion in it, is ruined by the other scenes of that episode. I thought that the scene where Saji and Louise say goodbye to each other was good, though I think that if the scene played just before end of this episode, the emotional factor would have been higher, then putting in the middle of this episode.
My thoughts regarding this episode, that it was good to see Setsuna and Tieria work together, and Christina deleting her picture of Johan Trinity, that she took in a previous episode. My thoughts about Gundam Nadleeh real power to create a sphere of influence, was a bit odd, as Tieria can’t use this move of the HRL, Union and AEU factions.
I’m betting that people that like to spoof this scene, and that there will be some jokes about Gundam Nadleeh trial system, as the trial system IMO felt like a poor copy of the judgment, that the 27th Maou of Shin-Makou uses in the Kyou Kara Maou series.
I was interesting to see that Johan Trinity revealed Lockon’s and Setsuna’s real names, to put a wedge between the two, and allow themselves to escape in this episode. Lockon’s apparent real name is Neil Dylandy, and Setsuna’s real name is Soran Ibrahim. I thought that Lockon’s and Setsuna talk they have was the low light in this episode IMO, as I had a better expectation of how it would have played out. As Setsuna is responsible for the death’s of Lockon’s parents and sister, it’s a shame we got no flashback sequence (or sequence of events) of how Lockon’s parents died, instead of just getting the same flash backs again and again. Also I wonder how Lockon twin fits into his story, and wonder if that he will feature soon in this series?
As Saji’s sister has been doing more investigation about the name Laguna, it was good to learn that Laguna refers to Laguna Harvey, the president of a Linear Train company. Laguna Harvey seems to have unlimited uses to the Orbital Elevators, due to his internal business.
I thought that the scene of the HRL, Union and AEU seeing the 30 solar furnaces (10 each) available to them was unpleasing, as the solar furnaces where done in CG. This scene reminded me of the unpleasing scene in FMA, where Seji Mizushima used CG in the dining hall of the state alchemists (forgot the exact episode, though think it was Barry the chopper episode), which was necessary IMO, as a nice digital cell shot would do the job nicely.
Hopefully the next episode will be better then this episode, as we might get to see Soma and Graham in their new solar powered units.

Gundam 00 - Episode Sixteen
I’m pretty sure I posted this episode review of Gundam 00, but please excuse this episode review being out of order.
This episode of Gundam 00 is about mecha fan-service, the selling of the Gundam Thrones model kits, and mass destruction of the HRL, Union and AEU units. As this episode is entitled “Trinity” it’s about the three new Gundam Meisters being showcased in this episode. The names of the new Gundam Meister are Neena Trinity (pilots the Gundam Throne unit three, Throne Drei), Michael Trinity (pilots Gundam Throne unit two, Throne Zwei) and Johan Trinity (pilot of Gundam Throne unit one, Throne Eins).
My thoughts on the Gundam Thrones are that the new Gundam units look nice (which is a welcome change from the mecha designs from Gundam Seed), and that the cockpits of the Gundam Thrones look nice as well. As Neena’s Trinity unit has a purple haro, hopefully it’s not to long before the two haro’s meet each other. I would like to see Felt’s reaction to the purple, just to see if she likes the new purple one, or the orange one.
I thought that scene where Alejandro Corner is talking to other observers felt like a plot element point that was copied straight from Evangelion. I thought that this scene was odd as it was odd having other observes being represented by pieces of artwork, though we are never given an answer why Alejandro Corner is the only person not represented by a piece of art?
I thought that half of this episode being part recap wasn’t too bad, though the recap by the observers and Alejandro Corner, IMO didn’t feel right for some reason, because the lack of animation and direction. I believe that this recap part of this episode was trying to be like the recap episode in Read Or Die the TV when Wendy Earheart, but that recap episode brought the plot elements of the show together, while this recap report adds nothing to the overall plot to the story.
Lastly, I believe Patrick will being having a long death march ahead of him, if he is to see Captain Kathy Monakin again.

Hatenkou Yuugi - Episode Five
I was a bit surprised first off that this episode and the next episode will spread a story over two episodes, as so far all episodes are self containing. This two part story focuses on Lalawel and her father (Jenn Foup), which ran a local inn. To be honest, this episode gave be vibes that there is something seriously wrong with or more characters in this episode, as Lalawel or her father could be really messed up, as Lalawel’s timid and shy personality, could be a good cover for her real personality.
I’m also uneasy about the burial place where corpses of criminals (with no family), and those that have fallen to infectious diseases, and other people that have died in inauspicious ways are displayed, because this place has featured a bit in this episode. I also think the way the town’s people try to ruin the lives of Lalawel is a bit excessive, though it will be interesting to see which side is right, in the next episode.
This episode gave us the first little hints about Alzeid mother, as this episode mentions a village in the southwest, where many people possessing the traits of black hair, and blue eyes (like Rahzel).
I really enjoyed the scene where there’s a boarder around the telling of how Jenn Foup allegedly killed his wife, as it gave the impression to me that it was told in a fairy tale way. I really like how despite how elegant the scene of Jenn killing is wife is presented to the viewer, that the viewer is then hit the notion that black magic may be involved in this story.
Despite the mysterious atmosphere that this episode created, the little humour in this episode was again short and harp. I really can’t to see how the next episode will play out.
