Romeo X Juliet - Episode Nineteen
This episode of Romeo X Juliet actually moves the plot of where the Capulets make their first steps to over throw Grand Duke Montague. As the previous episodes have hinted at Juliet and company acting out Lord William’s play, this episode shows some scenes of William’s play. I thought that William’s antics before his play started was funny. I found it interesting that Antonio and Regan were cast as Romeo and Juliet in William’s play, as they have became a couple, and there are hints that they two may become a couple or item by season’s end. I thought that Juliet’s plan to dress up as the Red Whirlwind during William’s play was a smart idea, as it would generate buzz around the townsfolk, and give them some hope, while also having people wanting to assist the Capulets and Juliet to start a revolution against Grand Duke Montague.
I liked how this episode include the circumstances that led to Curio being blind in his right eye, as I have been wondering about this little detail as the series has progressed. As IMO that Gonzo is more well known for the efforts in 3D CG, I thought that the flags of the Capulets and Montague’s that are shown in this episode, and seen throughout this series, looked really good, as I know that they have special effects done to them, to make them good.
I liked how this episode showed Francisco, Curio and Conard in battle armor, as seeing the older bridge in action, IMO is a good thing to see. I thought that the scene where Juliet gets her Red Whirlwind mask shoot of, was a good well thought-out scene, thought I did feel that Tubal (person leading the Montague troops to stop the Capulets) should have not fell on a hay cart, but should of actually hit the ground.
I thought that this episode was a step in the right direction to the climax that is going to come in the upcoming episodes. Hopefully with any luck, there will be a Tylbat vs. Grand Duke Montague sword fighting scene, in the upcoming episodes.

Glass Fleet - Episode Twenty
This episode of Glass Fleet is about Holy Imperial Forces Special Operations group making a sneak attack at B.B’s territory of Bardore, while also developing the relationship between Creo and Michel.
Before the Vetti’s Special operation group captures Michel and B.B in this episode, I thought that the scene where B.B knows that Michel is a woman was an interesting moment. I thought that the conversation that Michel and B.B have where B.B gives Michel an interesting look, that Michel has not bad taste about having the hots for Creo.
I thought that the rabbit like maid out that Siliua gets dressed in this episode was pretty interesting. I thought that the dress that B.B wanted to make Michel wear to dinner at B.B’s place was particular nice, as I wouldn’t have mined to see Michel in this dress, but this doesn’t occur in this episode.
I thought that way that the Vetti’s special operations team hand gliding into B.B’s territory was interesting, as hand gliding isn’t seen in many anime shows. I thought that the conversation that Uragu Zare has with Michel about unbalancing the peace, was an interesting moment in this episode.
I thought that the way that Cleo uses the aim for the heart maneuver to crash Uragu’s parade was unexpected and interesting, as Cleo is willing to use unorthodox methods to win.
I thought the scene where Cleo throws a sword into Michel’s hair to kill Uragu in this episode, was an interesting way to kill Uragu, as I would have thought that Cleo would have beaten Uragu with his sword skills. I thought that seeing B.B crack under the pressure of seeing her wine kegs breaking while Cleo used the aim for the heart maneuver, was an interesting moment in this episode.
Before the episode ended I thought that the scene where Michel is looking at her self behind the dress, in the mirror, and Cleo walked into Michel’s room, was another interesting moment in this episode, which developed the Cleo X Michel relationship in this episode. I thought that the scene where Rachel is sitting in a room with rose petals scattered in her room, was another interesting moment in this episode.

Darker Than Black - Episode Twenty
This episode concludes the Huang arc, and some interesting thinks occur before this episode wraps up. I thought that this episode started off interestingly with Huang wanting to be involved in rescuing the contractor that failed to kill the prophet. I thought the little twist of Moa’s instructions to get rid of female contractor that was working with Hei, if Huang couldn’t do it, was an interesting underlying plot element to this episode.
I thought it was interesting seeing Huang being involved in this episode, as Huang used gas to get through the guards that where guarding Shikoko. I also thought that seeing Hei going up against the other contractor that is related to Amber was interesting, as I felt their battle in this episode was a little prelude to what is upcoming, in the episodes to come.
I thought the flash back that Kyupi (Huang) has in this episode about when Huang got drunk and wanted to be with Shikoko, was really interesting, as it was the first time that Huang has been drank, and when Huang fell in love with Shikoko and admitted it to her.
I thought it was interesting that Shikoko used Huang to get close to him to see if he or his partner (Isozuki) was the one that was connected to the Gate Friendship organization. Even though Shikoko used Huang, it was interesting that she admitted at the time that Huang was honest about being wanting to be with Shikoko, which she wasn’t putting on her act at that point in time, but was acting on her true feelings.
I thought that the scene where Huang asks Hei to kill him and Shikoko was interesting, as seeing Hei with a gun in hand, gave me an impression of what Hei would be as an assassin, with no contractor powers. I thought it was interesting that Moa didn’t want to be part of Hei’s plan of Huang and Shikoko wanting to run away.
I thought the scene in this episode where Hei and the prophet discuss the differences between humans and contractors was interesting, as it seems besides contractors having powers, that the difference between humans and contractors is that contractors make the rational decision.
I thought the ending of this episode was rather sad, as it similar to the scene of where Shikoko hurt her leg in the previous episode, via one of Huang’s memory flash back. I thought that this episode was a good story arc that explained a lot about Huang’s background, and beliefs and values.

Eminance concert: Destiney Reunion
I went to this recent Eminace concert that was held at the BMW Edge in Federation Square on the 11 th of August 9( it started at 7:00pm), and like previous concerts enjoyed myself. Before coming into the concert I manged to get a little key chain torch that some people in Federation Square were handing out for some particular reason, so I pleased getting this free extra, before the concert. The venue for this event was smaller than the Night in Fantasia concert, though what I found interesting about this concert, was that Terrence (the announcer) talked about the various places that the Eminance crew had visited on this tour, and told some interesting stories about some of the Eminance crew.

Even though the poster for this event is a Romeo X Juliet poster, I still think that it looked really nice.

My thoughts regarding the pieces that were played was that it was interesting to hear pieces from more popular anime shows (Evangelion, Noir, Gundam Seed) being played in this concert. The concert did go longer than expected, as it fhinished up at about 9:20pm,(as everybody was to be out of the hall by 10:00pm), the autogrough session quickly took place, after two encore pieces were played.

Darker Than Black - Episode Nineteen
As the last couple of story arc’s have gave us hints about Huang being afraid of the syndicate, this story is the story arc that goes into Huang’s past of this very reason. The episode starts off with Huang working on a case for the police, as he and Isozuki (Huang’s police partner) are investigating a case, which later on is revealed in the next episode to be related to Hei’s current assignment.
While Huang and Isozuki are working, Huang meets Isozuki’s wife, and enjoy each other’s company. After some time has past Huang comes across Shikoko, a person who picks Huang pockets, but then stomped on his foot to get away. Shikoko’s escape from Huang isn’t flawless, as Shikoko hurt’s her leg by an incoming vehicle. I thought that it was interesting that Shikoko nicknamed Huang Kyupi, and while Shikoko got drank one night, that Shikoko ends up kissing Huang.
While Huang continues to work for the police, one night after leaving Isozuki’s place, Shikoko uses her contractor powers to destroy the organs in Isozuki, and then calmly walks away. At the next day at work Huang hands in his retirement notice to his boss, but his boss rejects his offer to quit. While Huang is alone, a member of the syndicate approaches Huang to offer him the chance to join them, or lose his memories like Isozuki’s wife, as if anybody sees a contractor; they (the syndicate) will erase any memory they had of the incident.
Hei’s job in this episode is to kill the prophet of the group that call themselves the Gate Friendship Party. I thought that the Gate Friendship organization reminded me of the episode of Cowboy Bebop where Faye and Spike join the cult, where it ends up the leader of the group said TV was a religion, and was some kid in a hospital.
I thought that the bit in this episode where Hei falls to kill the prophet was interesting to me, as Hei usually accomplishes his mission, and Shikoko got caught by one of the contractors that are linked to Amber.
I thought that this episode was interesting, though I thought that the transition between Huang’s past and this case wasn’t as smooth as I would’ve thought, though I thought that Shikoko was an interesting character. As Huang doesn’t usually get much screen time in this series, I would have to say after viewing this episode that I can start to see why Huang is so fearful of crossing passes with the syndicate.

Romeo X Juliet - Episode Eighteen
This episode of Romeo X Juliet I found to be rather interesting, as this episode was more about the Romeo and Juliet meeting each other again in this episode, with some prelude of what may come in the upcoming episodes. I thought that the first bit of this episode was interesting as there was a little Francisco fan service at the start of this episode, as Francisco is wearing a robe, but one can see a little bit of his chest, to keep the fan girls happy. I did think that Juliet looked really elegant in the dress near the start of this episode, while see is drinking so tea.
I thought that the Romeo aspects of this episode was rather uninteresting, as Romeo in this episode does mange to be a leader to the surviving prisoners of the Gradisa Mines, as Romeo manages to grow some crops in the desert, parched land. Romeo mangers to raise some crops in the village of Elbe, as the old man that Romeo and Juliet encountered at the dry spring in a previous episode (I forgot the exact episode number), gives Romeo some seeds, that will grow some food in the harsh conditions. I really think that Romeo cheated Giouanni and the other prisoners, into believing that he is some type of leader, but I don’t really mind, as I hope that the following episodes will show that Romeo is a failure at leading, and gets a taste of his own deception.
On the Neo Verona side of things, this episode showed Grand Duke Montague taking part in Titus funeral. I thought it was good to see people in funeral talk behind Grand Duke’s Montague back, as gossip and backstabbing is something I don’t mind seeing in anime shows.
I thought that the stars of this episode was Regan and Emilia, as I liked Emilia’s overreaction to practicing lines with Regan, and then turning to Juliet, after Regan leaves Emila hanging. I thought that the scene where William is ridding a kiddy toy pony was really funny, though while this was occurring, I thought that the scene of Emailia lying on top of Juliet was more interesting. I wouldn’t mind seeing some more innuendo or slight tastes of yuri scenes, between Juliet and Emailia.
I thought that the scene where a few of team Juliet are handing out flyer for Lord William’s play was funny and cute, as I thought it was funny how some women in the background where hugging a sheep costumed Francisco, while the others were handing out flyers. I did think that Regan looked really cute in her sheep outfit; also I’m betting that Antonia and Regan will be an item by series end.
While handing out flyers for Lord William’s play, Antonia gathers wind that Romeo is in Elbe village (which is near by), and William allows Juliet to visit Romeo. The scene between the Romeo and Juliet at the end of the episode was well staged, and hopefully things will move forward in the next couple of episodes, and see how Francisco’s plan to gather Grand Duke Montague haters, pan out.
I thought that this episode was a bit better than average, due to the moving of various plot elements I this episode, while including some romance and humor in this episode. I mainly thought that this episode was used to give a little time out, after the heavy plot and character building of the previous episode.

Eminence Concert: A night in Fantasy - Symphonic Games Edition
I attended this eminence concert earlier on in the year, but due to mainly me being lazy, I put off putting this post up, but here it is now. The concert occured in the arts centre in melbourne, and started at 7:00pm on the 27th of April. I thought the program that was played by the Eminence crew was a interesting mix of pieces.

Overall, I had a good night out at the concert, and I hoping to see the anime edition that is schedulced to be played by the eminence crew later on in the year. Hopefully that concert will be just as good, as this concert.

Glass Fleet - Episode Nineteen
This episode is the episode that I have been waiting for since Vetti got the upper hand over the People’s Army in episode thirteen, as Michel and Creo are reunited again in this episode. Before Michel and Creo one another in this episode, I thought that the start of this episode where Creo, Eimelle and some of the remaining prisoners from the garbage planet, give there fallen comrades a small funeral, that it felt a bit empty because that there wasn’t much revealed about them, besides Admiral Gawen.
After the funeral scene early on in this episode has passed, I thought that the scene where Rachel’s father comes clean about the Order of the Cross wasn’t as dark and creepy as I would have thought. I really don’t know why Rachel’s father gave Rachel the last king (Magnus Corteille) sword, when Rachel is in love with Vetti, and will mostly likely not stab Vetti with it.
As the episode is mainly about Michel, Banet, Hizack, Norbi and Siliua meeting Creo and Eimelle, and some remaining prisoners from the garbage planet, I did think that the scene where that Creo jump off Admiral Gawen’s ship, to his glass ship, and be caught my Michel, was the standout moment in this episode. I also liked this scene because Michel blushes when she and Creo intertwine in space’s gravity. As this scene unfolded, I did think that it was unrealistic to breathe in the vacuum of space, but I was willing it to slide to see Michel blush. When Creo makes his way to the bridge of his glass ship, I thought that energy between Creo and his crew picked up, and again displayed their talents to destroy the remaining space ships.
After Creo and company are reunited together, I thought the conversation that Siliua and Eimelle get into, to discuss who’s the better driver of the glass ship, was a nice little conversation. Also I was happy to see the reoccurring joke of the glasses joke with Norbi, in this episode.
After the two groups have been reunited with each other, they decide to visit B.B, and ask if she will help rebuild the People’s Army. Despite B.B being her usual self, Creo is seen to have changed slightly from Michel’s perspective, as they continue to talk about what to agree upon. While Creo and company are at B.B’s place, the special operations department is sent by Vetti to take care of Michel, which is lead by Urugu Zane.
After a long wait, it seems that that the story of Glass Fleet is back on track, with the plot moving forward in this episode. I did feel that the previous couple episodes of Glass Fleet did dragged out a little bit, IMO. Hopefully the next episode can build upon the momentum that this episode built.

Anime & Rose of Versailles 21 Aug 2007 05:18 am
Rose of Versailles - Episode Seven
This episode of Rose of Versailles is entitled who wrote the letter, and deals with a bit more of du Barry’s meddling and Fersen making an appearance in this episode. The back drop of this episode is built upon Louis-Augustine sort of being engrossed in his hobbies of hunting and blacksmithing.
One day, Marie Antoinette doesn’t want to do her studies, and decides to leave for a masquerade ball in Paris. When Marie Antoinette is at the masquerade ball she meets Fersen, and falls in love with him. I thought that Fersen full name of Hans Axel Von Fersen was interesting. Despite Oscar trying to get Marie Antoinette and Fersen separated once they knew each other’s identities, I thought that Oscar shouldn’t have said if he wanted to see Marie Antoinette that, he should make a formal appointment to she her at the palace.
I thought it was interesting that the other ladies in the palace where talking in the shadows about Fersen being handsome etc. I thought that Madame du Barry’s conversations that she has with one of her maids about how rumors can be fatal, was one of the interesting elements of this episode. I thought it was interesting that du Barry would like a handwriting forger to write a love with Fersen’s handwriting to Marine Antoinette. Despite Madame du Barry trying to get rid Marine Antoinette through ruining her reputation, I thought the way that Lazani (wrote the love letter for Madame du Barry) barged for a higher price for his services was interesting, as he kept on making excuses about writing the letter.
Even though Madame du Barry fails in this episode, with her plan to ruin Marie Antoinette’s reputation and status, Madame du Barry’s plan fails due to Oscar’s mother picking up the love letter, which was intended for other maids to find the forged letter. I thought the episode ended interesting with Oscar giving Madame du Barry a stern warning that she will protect Marine Antoinette and the royal family with her life.
I thought that this episode was good, as Fersen makes his anticipated appearance in this episode, and that I thought that Madame du Barry still has plans to get rid of Marine Antoinette, after getting a victory over Marie Antoinette, in the previous last couple of episodes.
