Death Note - Episode Thirty Seven
The final episode of Death Note covers manga chapters 103 -108. This episode of Death Note pretty much follows chapters 103 – 106 perfectly, but chapters 107 – 108 have been re written for any original ending. The only thing that I could pick up from the source material, that wasn’t include in this episode of Death Note, was that when Light was talking to Near about if Awaza has the real Death Note or not, the anime left out Light’s thoughts of wanting to write Near’s real name in the piece of Death Note in his watch, before he actually tried to do this.
As this adaptation of Death Note had an original ending, the manga ending has Ryuk writing Light’s name in the warehouse that all SPK and team L members are, and Light arguing with Ryuk about writing his name in the death note. Also in chapter 107 of Death Note, I thought it was pretty evil how Ryuk told Light that heaven and hell don’t exist, and that there’s nothing after one dies. Chapter 108 of Death Note has Near taking L’s name, and the team L members (along with Near) working on a case. The last few pages of chapter 108 has what appears to be Kira supports walking in a straight line with a candle in the dead a night, and I’m not quite sure that the lady that unveils her hood(that is leading the funeral) is Misa or not.
I thought that the anime ending of Death Note was quite good, with Mikami killing himself, and Ryuk writing Light’s name in the Death Note, and Misa looking like she may have killed herself, by jumping off a building. I for one wouldn’t have minded to see Light beg and plea for Ryuk not to write Light’s name in the Death Note (in chapter 107), as it was interesting to see a pathetic Light. I felt the anime ending gave Light a more peaceful death, though it was handled quite nicely.
Overall, I was very happy how Death Note turned out. I felt that Death Note maybe could have been spread over 52 episodes, to make adaptation of Death Note more interesting, and hear all that smart dialogue, that the characters are thinking. I thought that anime version of Death Note was a slightly watered down version of the source material, though if one hasn’t read the manga of Death Note, then I fell that this adaptation of Death Note makes it easy for anybody new to Death Note, to follow it quite easily.

Death Note - Episode Thirty Six
This episode of Death Note covers chapters 100 – 102, and what an episode this was. I felt that this episode of Death Note was very good because 2 or 3 chapters worthy of material was used, instead of about 4 chapters worth, from other Death Note episodes. As this episode is final show down between Light and Near, it looked to be the animation in this episode just went up a notch, to make this episode very enjoyable.
I couldn’t find anything that was left out from the manga source material, but when I saw Mikami do his eliminate bit in this episode, I thought that Mikami looked really evil, and looked almost devilish to me.
The thing that I enjoyed so much about this episode, was that this episode had so much tension in it, that once the meeting between team Light (team L) and Near (team SPK) started, it was very hard to not take my eyes off the screen. I thought that Near looked really interesting wearing the L mask, and I thought that this episode ended on a very mean cliffhanger.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode of Death Note, and I can’t wait to see the conclusion of this show.

Le Chevalier D’Eon Update delay
I know I promised to churn out Le Chevailer D’Eon reviews for the remaining episodes of this series, but something unexpected has happened, but I will try to churn the remaining reviews as soon as the time permits.

Le Chevalier D’Eon: Episode Twenty
I thought that this episode of Le Chevalier D’Eon, was a good follow up episode to the previous episode, as lots of interesting stuff happens in this episode. I will bullet point what happened in this episode, because I don’t want to write too much about this episode.
-Durand gets the last laugh on Duke Guerchy, by having Earl Sandwich find and search Duke Guerchy’s office and find a copy of the papers that Robert Wood was carrying (Durand placed them in Duke Guerchy office, when Durand visited Duke Guerchy in a previous episode).
-King Louis XV and King George sign a peace treaty at the start of this episode.
-King Louis right hand man allows Queen Marine to deal with and Madame de Pompadour.
-D’Eon, Robin and Teillagory make their way back to France.
-One of the better betrayals that I have seen in anime occurs in this episode, with Teillagory handing over D’Eon to Duke of Orléans, which Tellagory had been working with since the start of this series.
-Lorenza cuts an nqm mark into Maximilien Robespierre(with Durand’s sword), with Maximilien Robespierre wanting to get revenge on King Louis XV.
-Most importantly we see a flash back in this episode where we see Lia getting stab with an nqm sword. Looks very strongly that Louis XV killed Lia, as we see King Louis looking over Lia’s body. Also some wine bottle may have played some part also in Lia’s death.
Overall, I thought that this episode was very interesting, with more hints about everything in Le Chevalier D’Eon is about to play out, in the episodes to come. I thought that the scene where that D’Eon thinks about Anna and the future that D’Eon wants to have when things settle, IMO was the only moment in this episode that seemed like a nice moment in this episode. I can’t wait to see how the remaining episodes of Le Chevalier D’Eon will play out after this very interesting episode.

Romeo X Juliet - Episode Eleven
This episode IMO pretty much can sort of be summed up by the saying “Romeo and Juliet sitting in the tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g, first comes love, second comes marriage, then comes Romeo, with a baby carriage.” This episode is about Romeo and Juliet pretty much caring for one another, and sort of getting married at the end of the episode, at an abandoned church at the end of this episode.
I have mainly taken screen caps of Romeo and Juliet together, because it looks like this episode will be the only episode where Romeo and Juliet can display how much they really care for one another, before returning to the way of life before this episode. I thought it was dumb of Romeo to dump Cielo, because I sure that Cielo will come in pretty handy when the Montague’s and Capulet’s battle one another (hopefully), in the episodes to come. But now that I think about it, Romeo may have dumped Cielo because Romeo’s father may slay Cielo, if Romeo mucks up again, in his eyes.
Overall, I felt this episode was a bit boring (mainly focused on Romeo and Juliet), though I can see how that this episode is needed in the grand schema of things, to so the love that Romeo and Juliet have for one another. With this episode now done and dusted, hopefully we will see that shirt that Juliet promised to sew for Romeo, in the episodes to come.

Romeo X Juliet - Episode Ten
This episode of Romeo X Juliet starts off with Tybalt rescuing Juliet from the betrayal of Camio, from the previous episode. As Tybalt has featured a little in the previous couple of episodes, I think that Tybalt knowledge of various sidesreets, and secret passages that Neo Verona seems to have, will play a role when hopefully things gets messy, when the Montague’s and Capulet’s, clash against one another.
Tybalt ends up hiding Juliet in the red light district of Neo Verona, though I thought it was funny, when a person asked how much to Juliet, thinking that Juliet was offering. While Juliet is coming to understand the seedy environment that Tybalt took Juliet to, that Romeo made an interesting statement, when he took the floor in parliament.
Even though Romeo’s offer, to pardon the Capulet’s for the crimes in the past fails, it was good to see that Mercuito and Romeo again interact with one another. Hopefully with any luck, I’m hoping that Romeo and Mercuito will lock horns soon. As my first impressions of Romeo’s mother is that she is an angel, my guess about her nature was reconfirmed in this episode, as in this episode she ends up looking after Juliet, after Juliet’s collapses near a church.
As Romeo’s mother has made contact with Romeo to come see her, I for one am interested in the identity of the messenger that contacted Romeo in his father’s palace, as this person could play some role in future episodes.
I thought this episode ended well with Romeo and Juliet wanting to abandon their last names. Overall, I thought that this episode was pretty good, though I was hoping to see more of Juliet’s reaction when she stabbed some guard in the previous episode, and see if that this incident has made her more confident, in wanting to kill another person.

Le Chevalier D’Eon: Episode Nineteen
I was completely fooled how this episode played out, as the episode preview from the previous episode fooled me that this episode may be clip show. Luckily I was wrong that this episode of Le Chevalier D’Eon was a clip show, as this is an emotional episode of Le Chevalier D’Eon. I will give the writers credit for writing such an episode, because writing one of these stories, in general anime is not what generally occurs.
I won’t do a detailed write up for this episode, because this episode is better watched, then me spoiling the contents of this episode. Overall, I felt this episode was really good, as it had good moments during the course of this episode, and that the action scenes IMO were very good.

Darker Than Black - Episode Ten
As the previous episode ended up with Misaki running into Li, I liked how Li played Misaki in this episode, by getting under her guard early on in this episode, by saying that he got caught being up in the small garden in the penthouse, by being asked to take a drink to the owner. What I liked about this episode was how Misaki and Le interacted with each other in the toilet, as it seems to me, that the two will run into each other as the series plays out.
After Misaki and Li have talked to one another, and have formed some common ground with each other, Misaki asks Li to get Saito to help her escape from the place. After Li has got Saito to help Misaki escape from the hotel, Li goes to work as Hei (or BK201) to get the plant root, from the stone flowers. I thought that the action scene between Hei and Wei in this episode was well thought, as it seems that despite Hei being a highly skilled contractor, Wei thinks that he is faster than Hei. I thought that the music that played out when Wei and Hei where fighting in the garden, and the rooftop, was very good.
As the episode plays out a little more, after Wei seems to have killed Hei, Hei comes back and kills Wei (after Wei kills Alice). I thought that the explanation that Hei gave Wei (before he died) about how he didn’t die on the roof top was a smart way by Hei to win, and get the stone flower roots. I thought the scene involving Kanami and Misaki near the end of this episode was interesting, as I like how Kanami and Misaki interact with one another. I thought the episode end very well, with Li and Misaki passing one another in the street, before the episode ends with Li walking towards the camera.
Overall, I thought this episode was better than the previous one, mainly due to that I thought that the action and music was better than the previous episode. As ten episodes of Darker than Black have passed now, I really liked in this episode how Li can act (and manipulate people), in order to accomplish his job as a contractor.

Darker Than Black - Episode Nine
As the first scene of Darker than Black seem to be more mood based, I thought that this episode that off rather gory with Kirahara meeting Richard Lau, about a contractor VI952. Before Richard can tell any information to Kirahara about VI952 name, Richard dies a brutal death, with his hands blown off, (and has a huge hole in his chest), from where blood was appeared on him body. While the police are investigating Richard’s death, I thought it was interesting to know that Kirahara’s father is in charge of the department that Kirahara Misaki is working for. After the two talk a little, the two make their way to a restaurant, that where that Wang Shaotang owns that hotel (is related to the current case that Misaki is currently working on).
After that Misaki and her father have a late dinner, Kirahara runs into an old school friend, Alice. Alice knows Misaki and Kanami from high school, as Misaki stopped Alice from smoking at school, one day. Anyway I thought that Misaki looked pretty good in that Chinese styled dress that Alice made Misaki where to her party (she also looked nice without her glasses on also), though I agree with Alice that the slit on Misaki’s dress is not that high, and is fine where it is. Anyway as Alice’s party is under way, I thought that Lee introduction at the party was cute, thought him and Saito had to clean the dishes by hand, for punishment for breaking some waiters rules at the party, by their actions at Alice’s party.
As the episode plays out, it’s obvious that Alice bodyguard (Wei Zhijun) is the contractor VI952. I thought the way that Wei slits his own wrists to throw blood on other people, was an interesting contractor power, though the way Wei slits his own wrists to use his contractor power, won’t please people in the mental health industry.
As people may be wondering why Li is working as a waiter at one of Wang’s hotel’s, is because Li is after the stone flower, that came from inside Hell’s gate. I thought is was pretty interesting how Alice got high on the bee’s sting that pollen the stone flower, and then tried to give Misaki a go, off feeling high of the bee’s sting. I thought that this episode ended interestingly, with Li and Misaki meeting each other, when Alice was trying to kill Misaki.

Romeo X Juliet - Episode Nine
This episode of Romeo X Juliet starts off with a man named Camio wanting to stand under the Iris banner. As it turns out, this man is a friend of Conard (Former Captain of the Capulet Guards), and all the people that are currently supporting Juliet, welcome Camio with open arms. I thought the scene where Juliet raises her sword with the Iris banner unfolded, displayed the emotions of the surviving Capulet members well. As Hermione is upset with Romeo finding a better lover than her, I thought the scene where Hermione is standing thinking about Romeo, surround by other noble women and men, is that I thought that the kitten pen, is pretty big. While Romeo is heading to his room, two young noble girls ask Romeo, if that they are holding in their hands are wings. As Romeo’s interested in the object young girls are holdings, Romeo notice’s that it is a leaf that is dried out.
As Grand Duke Montague is about to give Romeo a talking to, about playing in water, The Grand Duke tells Romeo, to not worry about the leaf, because the Grand Duke doesn’t want more people to know about the existence of Escalus. That night Camio is out drinking with a person who failed in killing the Benvolio family, and it looks like his prepared to betray Conard, mostly likely because he will get something out of it if the Capulet resistance is captured.
Soon afterwards Camio tips Conard that the Grand Duke is leaving the castle with a small guard, and given that the Capulet group has their spirits up, that it would be best to take the risk and try to kill the Grand Duke Montague. What ends up happening is that the Capulet group get attacked my some of Montague’s guard, as it was a trap set up by Camio. This episodes ends with Ophelia (the person that looks after Escalus) telling Grand Duke Montague that the harvest that Escalus producers, won’t last forever.
Overall, I thought this episode was good because it shows that despite Conard seeing to be right the majority of times of what Juliet should and shouldn’t do, it’s good to see that Conard can misjudge the character of Camio. It will be interesting to see how Juliet will act now, since it’s the first time that Juliet has spilt a little blood in this episode.
